Emergency Exit Alarms

Exit alarms are used to alert on duty personnel that an emergency exit, or secured door or area has been opened or entered.

These could include secured storerooms, emergency exits, stairwell doors, receiving dock doors, rear exits, and many others.

Delayed Egress models are also available that will sound the alarm, but will not open for a set number of seconds, affording time for on duty personnel to investigate. They are ideal for deterring theft in restaurants and all types of retail establishments, detecting wandering patients,  guarding against infant abduction in a hospital or nursing home setting,  or to control pedestrian traffic. Life safety and fire codes may restrict the use of delayed egress devices or require that they be connected to the fire system to allow immediate opening in an emergency.
